Here is a view from the top of the South Kebab trail. The inner Canyon where we will spend the night is not even viewable.

Notice how small the hiker looks

Welcome to the inner canyon. Most people never see this. Be sure to look for the Tonto Trail sign pictured here. It is easy to miss. The Tonto trail is primitive trail that not many people visit. It follows the direct of the river. Bring a lot of water it will be much hotter here than on the rim. There are two streams that you can filter water if you need it between here and the campsite at Indian Garden that will have water year round.

Here the spring notice all the large cottonwood trees in the middle of the desert.

Indian Garden Campground

The start of the 4 mile trip back up to the rim of the grand canyon on the Bright Angel trail. The hike up the Bright Angel is mostly shaded from the sun and has two water stops on the way up the trail.

Almost done. This is a view of the top of the Bright Angel trail.
